Whether it's an away game or a weekend tournament, lots of times the concession stand doesn't offer the best choices. Chicken fingers and acai bows are delicious but they may not give you what you need to last for a long day or weekend.
Packing quick and easy snacks is a good way to save money and avoid buying unhealthy foods on the road. Fill your bag with items that are a good choice, instead of being stuck with only bad choices. Some of the foods you could pack for travel include:
A large water bottle
Bagels or bread
Peanut butter
Trail mix/mixed nuts, dried fruit
Apples/oranges/bananas
Granola bars
Beef or turkey jerky
Tuna/Chicken salad packets
Protein powder & a shaker bottle
